Robotics Software Engineer Nanodegree

July 2018 - Feb 2019

The Udacity Nanodegree program is a great way to get more hands on experience with interesting and challenging projects. Specifically, the Robotics Software Engineer Nanodegree tackles the general challenge of creating autonomous robots.

The greatest benefit I see from the program is the provided testing/simulation platforms. I've always wanted to get hands on experience with controls, perception, mapping, localization, but creating the platform from scratch can be time consuming (see my Color Copter Project). So having a structured platform to test algorithms and develop skills is extremely useful.

The Robotics Software Engineer Nanodegree spans approximately 8 months, from July 2018 to Feb 2019. So far, I have completed the first project, an Autonomous Mars Rover Simulation, and I am working on the second, controlling a KUKA Robotic Arm.
